IF YOU’RE NOT GOING TO HAVE CHILDREN WHY BOTHER TO GET MARRIED….. At Mamapalooza: What is offensive is when my answers seem unsatisfactory or if someone mockingly states “If you’re not going to have children why bother to get married.” I am then forced to defend myself as I become wheedled into answering a dozen questions, not just for enlightenments sake, but to convince the individual who is on the defensive that I am certain I made the right choice.

Women’s Conference (Architect Of Change)
On October 26th and 27th (Hilary Clinton’s Birthday) Maria Shriver’s Sixth Annual Women’s Conference (which sold out in a record-breaking two days!) took place at The Long Beach Convention Center. In a nutshell – and according to their website – womensconference.org – “The mission of The Women’s Conference is to inspire, empower and educate women to be Architects of Change in their own lives and in the lives of others.”

A friend recently handed me a copy of ‘Time’ Magazine to read on the plane during a trip to a Feminist Conference. The cover in black and red boldly declared ‘The State Of The American Woman’ – a new poll shows why they are more powerful -but, less happy.
I couldn’t relate. I feel plenty happy and I like my power…..
